By: Cristina De Cardenas

Giorgio Armani the namesake fashion retailer has decided to no longer use fur in his clothing, starting in his Autumn and Winter 2016 collections.

Giorgio Armani has joined top names such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Stella McCartney in switching to alternative synthetic materials.

“Technological progress made over the years allows us to have valid alternatives at our disposal that render the use of cruel practices unnecessary as regards animals,” says Armani. “Pursuing the positive process undertaken long ago, my company is now taking a major step ahead, reflecting our attention to the critical issues of protecting and caring for the environment and animals.”

I believe this will open up the brands source of consumers, being fur free just opened the doors for animal activists. I don’t know about you but I’m loving this fur free, no animal testing in the fashion industry. How do you feel?
