Iraq wedding ended in tragedy

On September 26, 2023, a disaster of unimaginable proportions happened at the Al Haytham Wedding Hall in Iraq. During an Assyrian wedding, pyrotechnic flares set off inside the hall which caused an uncontrollable blaze. In the aftermath of the fire, 140 people had passed away and 250 were injured. This tragedy marks one of the deadliest fire in Iraq, and serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences that can occur if safety regulations are not followed.
