Yankees Eliminated from Post Season play: Who’s at fault

The New York Yankees baseball team has been eliminated from making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. They are also trying to avoid their first losing season since 1992. This was a terrible season for the Yankees, nothing seemed to go their way. They were plagued with many injuries and no impactful upgrades to the team. So whos’ to blame?  Many in the organization believe Brian Cashman the General Manager or Aaron Boone the clubs manger.

Both Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone are on the hot seat. The owner of the Yankees Hal Steinbrenner wants an outside company to look in their baseball operations this off season. This puts pressure on Brian Cashman as he is the man that runs those baseball operations. So, he will have a third party looking over his shoulder. Aarone Boone is on the final year of his contact and due to this poor season, there is no justification to extend his contract. has not lived up to

The Yankees have not won the world series since 2009. Now, they didn’t even make it to post season play even after re-signing of the best players in baseball in Aaron Judge. There are still may holes in the organization as there is lack of reliable pitching, the core is getting older and the manager may be released. Where do the Yankees go from here? No one may know right now but New York is not used to being spotlighted for not making the playoffs but for being champions.
