Fire Starts in South Miami-Dade home

The fire began on the first day of the year. While coming home late from a New Year’s party neighbors ran to the door of the Ellis family and frantically knocked on the door to warn them. As Stacey Ellis was watching TV late this night at 2:30 am, he heard the knock and ran to the door. The neighbors informed him of the fire, and he tried to put it out, but the flames were too strong. So, the family had to evacuate.

Thankfully, every one in the house was able to escape safely. However, the fire became worse, and the house became unlivable. Although they now have no home, the family is grateful to be alive. Without the help of their neighbors that night, their fate would have been drastically different. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
