Bomb threats made to Miami Dade & Broward Public Schools

On Wednesday, December 16, 2015, Miami Dade and Broward County Public schools received a threatening email similar to those in Los Angeles and New York. The emails warned public school officials on a large scale bombing attack. This then prompted Miami Dade Schools Police Department to contact federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. However, this threat was deemed not credible. Miami Dade Schools asks parents to send their kids to school on December 17^th as it is expected to be a regular school day.
