If you know Michael Jackson, then you should also know Janet Jackson. She is his younger sister.  Janet Jackson was born on May 16 ,1966, in Gary, Indiana. Her parents are Joe and Kathrine Jackson.  She is one of nine siblings in the Jackson family. She first appeared on television in 1970, at the tender age of four in a comedy show entitled Good Times.  She later became a regular in Different Strokes, a similar show. In 1993, she appeared in a movie entitled Poetic Justice directed by John Singleton.  Jackson started her own music career in 1982 when she was 16 years old.  When she signed to A&M records that same year.  She made her first album called Janet Jackson. The album was a huge success for her selling over 250,000 copies, peaking at no. 64 on U.S. Billboard Hits,  consequently starting her musical career.  According to Insider, “Janet Jackson has also had 10 no. 1 hits and she’s been in the no. 1 spot in three different decades.”   In 2004, she even performed at the Super Bowl half time show with Justin Timberlake. To date, Jackson continued to purse worldwide popularity.  This year, she announced her 2023 “Together Again” Tour which celebrates 50 years of entertainment.
