The healing powers of meditation

Meditation is a practice in which a person uses different techniques such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on certain objects, thoughts, or activities to train attention and awareness, and attain a stable mental state. Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a calm mind. While you meditate you can focus your attention and eliminate any stressful thoughts that may be crossing your mind. This process may result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being. Daily meditation can help improve work performance, be aware of the present moment, and lower risks of depression.
