On November 17, 2015, actor Charlie Sheen stated in an interview on the “Today” show that he tested positive for HIV four years ago and that only a few people knew about it. Unfortunately, those trusted people extorted him for money and he ended up paying large sums to keep them silent. The news came as a surprise to many fans, including the people who have had sexual relations with the actor. Sheen doesn’t even know how he contracted the virus, but according to the actor, he’s informed all of his past partners of his condition. Sheen said that the diagnosis came after he suffered major headaches and night sweats. After being diagnosed, immediately he was placed on strong medication. If Sheen misses any of the dosages, it could lead to lower concentrations to the bloodstream, but he hasn’t missed a day of taking his medication, despite that fact that he’s going through a tough depression and substance abuse.

On November 23, 2015, it was made public that Charlie Sheen was facing 6 lawsuits from 6 ex-lovers after his HIV confession for emotional distress, fraud, and sexual battery. A Los Angeles lawyer told TMZ that the 6 women contacted him about a possible lawsuit. The women claimed they had both protected and unprotected sex with Sheen. A source connected with Sheen indicated that, over the past 2 years, Sheen has had at least 200 partners, so the number of women who either will sue or plan to sue will almost certainly increase.
