Drake

Aubrey Drake Graham born October 24, 1986 is a Canadian rapper and singer who has also acted in the popular television show Degrassi. His trademark mixture of singing and lyrical rapping of raw vulnerability won him a large following. He’s released several records today and has become a household name with the popularity of his music. He fundamentally rewrote the rules of entry for what it meant to be a rapper in the 2010s. Beyond everything else, the man is king of bangers.

Drake’s breakthrough came in 2009 with the release of the mixtape So Far Gone and its hit single “Best I Ever Had “. A bidding war between labels soon ensued, and Drake signed with Lil Waynes Young Money Entertainment, a subsidiary of Cash Money. Later that year the label put out So Far Gone as an EP. It won the Juno Award for Rap recording of the year, and   Drake was named new artist of the year.
