Today, we celebrated in our courtyard National Hispanic Heritage Day with a parade, music, cultural dances, and instruments. Miami Springs students performed with great enthusiasm and pride. National Hispanic Heritage Month (NHHM) is an annual celebration in the United States which recognizes Hispanic contributions and influence to American society.  It started in 1968 with a week celebration, but by 1988, it had transformed into a month long observance. NHHM is celebrated nationwide with art shows, conferences, festivals, community gatherings, and much more.
