What MSSH Students Are Grateful For:

By: Christina Valdes Partner: Dee-Toria Williams

This Thanksgiving, with a pandemic ongoing, life seems like anything but normal. However, there are still things in our life to be grateful for as there always is. I’m grateful for my family and friends. I’m also grateful for my family providing me with the things I need in life. Here are some things our MSSH students are grateful or:

Gabriella Valdes: “I’m grateful for my health during this pandemic and for my school grades. I’m thankful for my family and for all of us to all be together during this holiday. I’m also grateful for my dog as well. I’m grateful this Thanksgiving for the things that others might not be fortunate to have. I’m grateful to have at least one thing to smile for every day that can lift my mood in these trying times.”

Leah Lucas: “I’m grateful for my friends who are caring and who have been with me during quarantine. I’m grateful for my family as well for always being there for me no matter what. As well as TV or anything that has given me some sort of entertainment because it’s distracted me from what’s going on in the world. Finally, I’m grateful for the roof over my head, my clothes, and my food which I’m very fortunate to have.”

Samantha Rodriguez: friends which has been difficult to do during quarantine. It’s nice to see them after such a long period of time.”

Zoey Peacock:” I’m grateful for being alive, making it to 2020 surviving corona as of right now or not getting it, I’m grateful for my family, having a roof over my head, having food to eat and clothes on my back”

As you can see, there’s a lot to be grateful for this fall season no matter what we may be going through. So have some gratitude this Thanksgiving, for there’s lots to be grateful for.
