Robotics
Lilian Alfonso.
Robots have always had a special place in people’s hearts. Whether watching them in a movie or people building them to see how they work,
“A robot must obey orders given to it by a human being except where such orders would conflict with its first law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with humans rules. A robot may not injure humanity, or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.”
These quotes are the main reason why my favorite place at the school is the i-Tech room. There, we get to build robots, program robots, make our own video games and much more. We get to work on these robots each class and learn how they work. There is a mentor that can help and teach students the tools and the process when building a robot. The mentors make sure that we understand everything.
In robotics and programming, it takes a team to work on something that big. Sometimes working on a team isn’t the easiest thing for some people. They want to work on the project or assignment by themselves. Some people just don’t like relying on others for projects.
While it might be hard at times its completely worth it.
