This past week on October 19th, Season 3 of Daredevil released on Netflix, and I just have to say, “Wow”! Season 3 was an amazing season with great suspense and intense moments which brought the fight scene count to 11. Ever since it’s début in 2015 with Season 1, I thought that there was something special about this show – the cast is perfect, the choreography is one of the best I have seen with many impressive one shot fight scenes that can put big studio movies into shame.

So, what is this series about and why is it so good? Daredevil is the story of Matt Murdock, who lost his sight, but his remaining four senses function with superhuman accuracy and sensitivity.  Lawyer by day and daredevil by night, Murdock uses his abilities to make Hell’s Kitchen a safer place for all.  However, this is not your typical super hero story, this is a more complex story with high stakes.  In this show, deaths actually matter, because characters don’t return by some magical artifact or scheme.  The show plays out like the real world – ironic! The main villain of the show is probably the best villain in Marvel Universe, without giving spoilers, he is the most fearsome, captivating, and multi-layered villain out there brought into live action.

As I said before, the cast is really amazing, each character in this show is lovable, and even the side characters play a huge role in the story. Charlie Cox plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and he absolutely owns the role, the thing that makes Daredevil special is that he is not godlike – he is vulnerable just like anyone else and an inspiring character for many people. If you are reading this article and haven’t seen Daredevil yet, what are you waiting for?  Turn on the show; you won’t regret it.
