Miami Hurricanes running back injured during practice

Lorenzo Lingard, a five-star running back from the Miami Hurricanes was injured yesterday. The freshman player went down while practicing suffering from a left-knee injury. Lingard was seen after practice Monday with his entire left leg wrapped in a bandage, holding a pair of crutches by his side as he got into an electric cart outside the Schwartz Center.  “Lorenzo suffered a left knee injury today in practice and he is being further evaluated by our medical staff,” said the director of communications, Camron Ghordi, in a text message to the Herald. Lingard is ranked No. 2 running back in the class of 2018. His playing time has been sparse stuck behind the veteran running backs, Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas.  Lingard has run for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 carries in six games, but has not had an offensive touch since September 22, 2018, win against the FIU Panthers. I guess we can add Lorenzo Lingard to the growing list of injured Miami Hurricane players.
