It’s been a long season for the Lady Hawks! Although they were placed in tough district match-ups, the girls held up their own. Most of the games ended in tie breakers showing that these girls have potential. The only down side to the story is that many of the girls are varsity seniors on their way out. However, this will give opportunities to plenty of the JV players to move up. This year, the JV team went 14-4 while varsity only won 8 out of 21 games. As manager throughout the entire season, I saw a team that showed potential; even through, their record doesn’t reflect how hard these girl played. The majority of the teams the girls went up against had players that take part in club teams for years. That’s unfair considering our girls have never played club volleyball. On the bright side, now that spring season is over, boys volleyball is looking for revenge in their upcoming season in February.
