Michelle Kelly, Instructional Leader Social Sciences

Mrs. Michelle Kelly teaches AP Human Geography, AP Psychology, AICE Psychology, and speech and debate at Miami Springs Senior High. On top of all of this she serves as our school’s social studies department head.  After being chosen as teacher of the year here at Miami Springs, Mrs. Kelly was recognized by the district because her students scoring way above the national average on the AP Psychology test. From here Mrs. Kelly went on to win Central Region Teacher of the Year and was nominated for the Francisco R. Walker Miami-Dade County Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Kelly became one of four finalists for this extremely prestigious award. While Mrs. Kelly did not go on to win the Award the whole student body and faculty at Miami Springs was extremely proud how far Mrs. Kelly had come. Many of Mrs. Kelly’s students describe her as one of the best teachers they’ve ever had. Mrs. Kelly gives her all to her students no matter what, and we here at Miami Springs will always be proud of here.
