Miami Springs varsity football was defeated by Reagan yesterday. The Hawks came in striking with back to back touchdowns. However, Reagan’s Wing-T offense troubled the defense with trick plays. By halftime, the score was 14-21, Hawks down and looking for momentum. After halftime, the Hawks’s sheen was back hoping for a blazing comeback. Byron Conner scored a touchdown that tied the game which kept Springs in the race. After that, it was a game of who wanted it more. Reagan and Miami Springs were scoring back to back in double overtime. The game was riding on the last play for the Hawks, but unfortunately, they didn’t convert. It was a horrible loss, and the final score was 35-28. The record now stands at 4-4.
