New York Fashion Week

With New York Fashion Week introducing the 2015 Spring and Summer trends, it is finally time to ditch the bulky winter clothing and swap them for these effortless styles. If you are like the majority of the population who can only dream about wearing such luscious outfits, just be creative and shop at your favorite store with these styles and your pocketbook in mind.
GINGHAM:
This classic print may have been a shock to people when it showed up on the runway this season. The tablecloth style print may seem a little strange to us but designers such as Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Diane von Furstenberg, and Oscar de la Renta all used this quirky print on their models in various colors and sizes.

SPORTY CHIC:
This season on the runway we saw a twist on “sporty” wear. Designers took a more modern and sophisticated approach on the already popular trend, adding shoelace detail and bomber jacket influences into their designs. We saw this from iconic designers like Givenchy, Stella McCarthy and Victoria Beckham.
HIGH NECKLINES:
High necklines have always been added to designs to make them a little more conservative and preppy but on the runway this spring, the designers took them to new heights (pun intended). Designers such as Dolce and Gabbana, Hermès, and Prada all took this signature look and made it their own.
MODERN SAFARI:
Have you ever been to the zoo? Have you ever seen the god-awful garb that uniform zookeepers have to wear? Now, picture those ill-fitting khaki cargo shorts and unflattering army green shirts and imagine them on the runway and actually looking chic and trendy instead of stiff. Sounds a little too good to be true doesn’t it? Designers such as Jason Wu, Acne, and Isabel Marant have taken these once unattractive raiments and turned them into wearable tropical pieces.
