2026 FIFA World Cup is coming to the U.S.

The biggest football tournament in the world, the FIFA World Cup 2026, is going to make history as it will be held across three nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This will be the first time the tournament expands to 48 teams, up from the previous 32, allowing more nations to compete on the football’s greatest stage. With matches scheduled for iconic cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto and Mexico City, fans across the world will be expecting nothing but a memorable moth of action.
Amongst the highlights is the new format that has expanded to 12 groups of four teams each for more exciting games. The tournament will also be expected to bring economic boosts to the host cities as millions of fans make their ways to witness the making history. Players like Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and a host of emerging talents from around the world will get an opportunity to shine. With further preparations in place, football enthusiasts are counting down the days until kickoff in June 2026. Is it time for a new champio, or will former winners return to glory?
