You were “Flicked by Red”
By: Mia Perez
To most, I am Mia, to some Mimi, but to the football players of MSSH, I am known as “Red”. The team has truly changed my life to the point where I don’t know where I’d be without them. I have always been interested in photography, especially as a side hobby, but never acted on it. So now, in my senior year of high school, I decided to be the Instagram and social media manager for the football team. It was a chance to show my creativity and my photography skills. I have attended every game, made flyers to promote the game, and posted the photos of each game. Clearly, my hair color is red, and I took the photos, so before anyone knew my name or what to call me, they called me “Red”. From that day on, the nickname, “Flicked by Red” was born. The team gave me the idea to start my own Instagram page to showcase the football pictures. I adopted the name, and now I am known to the school as “Flicked by Red”. It’s a good feeling, and I am overjoyed the team welcomed me into their circle, and I am honored to be the one person that gets to showcase their talent.
