On Saturday, October 3, 2015, Miami Springs Senior High came together to support the fight against leukemia. National Honor Society, Anchor, HOSA, Medical Hawks, Future Educators of America, and the Hawks baseball team were some of the multitude of clubs that attended the farmers market. National Honor Society, HOSA, and Medical Hawks joined together and sold several donated items to raise money for Chad and Daniela. Anchor had a garage sale, sold gold ribbons to support childhood cancer, and a raffle which consisted of $50 for cozy corner and $30 for crackers, all proceeds were split between Chad and Daniela. Future Educators of America held some activities for the children that attended the farmers market. They face painted their faces, let them draw on the floor with chalk, and hand crafted a poster to give emotional support to the two children. Miami Springs baseball team sold baseball tees and other donated items to help raise money. What occurred on October 3rd is a prime example of different types of people coming together to support a common cause.
