Kayaking with Dolphins
By: Jaynell Perera
Manatee Hammock is a 26.5 acre campground. It has many kinds of plants and trees. The amenities include free wi-fi, a 197 ft fishing pier, a perfect view of space launches from Kennedy Space Center, a swimming pool, and two shuffleboard courts. There is a launch area for boats, which is where this reporter went kayaking on the video above. The Indian River Lagoon is home to many species of marine life; dolphins, manatees and different species of fish. The campground has a vast variety of squirrels and birds. As you can see from the video, the squirrels are used to people feeding them, and so, come right up to you. The rates are $25 daily and $525 monthly. They offer 152 RV sites, 36 Tent Campsites, a group camping area, and a pavilion. The sites are very clean and well shaded. I recommend this place to everyone who is in the area, check it out soon!
