My Experience with Color-Guard

By: Thalia Diaz

I joined the MSSH Color Guard team my freshman year, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Everyone on the team was super welcoming and kind, which made me feel comfortable right away. The coaches were very talented and always pushed us to do our best. At first, I was nervous because I had never done anything like Color Guard before. With time and practice, I learned how to spin flags, dance, and perform with confidence. The practices could be long and tiring, but they helped me grow stronger and more focused. Performing in front of crowds made me proud of all the hard work we put in. Being part of the team taught me important lessons about teamwork and discipline. I also made amazing friends who support me every day. Color Guard has truly become one of the best parts of my high school experience.

Color Guard has taught me so much since I first joined as a freshman. It helped me step out of my comfort zone and try something completely new. The team is full of people who care about each other and always lift each other up. Our coaches inspire us to be our best both on and off the field. I have learned how to work together with others to create beautiful performances. The energy and excitement of performing in front of a crowd is something I will never forget. Even when practices are tough, we always find a way to have fun and keep going. Every performance brings us closer as a team and gives us memories that last forever. I am proud of how much I have improved since I first joined. Color Guard has truly made my high school years more special and meaningful.
