Students at Miami Springs Senior High are complaining about the massive heat wave that has taken over the school. Several upstairs classes and all of the classes in the 300 building are experiencing a lack of cool air. Cheerleader, Jatavia Strachan, complained of the hot flashes she felt when she was in the gym on Thursday during the basketball game. Sophomore, Ta’mya Lewis stated that her science class was “so hot it felt like she was in the deserts of Arizona.” It has been so uncomfortable, that several classes had to relocate to other areas in the building. Since last week, the air conditioning has been on the fritz and we are all hoping that “Old Man Winter” sends a cold front our way. Until then, students and teachers alike are making the best of a sweaty situation.
