The Superbowl is an annual event that takes place in cities around the country for the NFL. This year, it happened in Miami on the 2nd of February and it was against San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. They played in Hard rock stadium for their 100th anniversary of the Super bowl. After a stressful game, the Chiefs pulled it off and won the title. The halftime show added to the excitement and many people enjoyed it as it represented a variety of cultures other than American.
After the Chief’s last win, 50 years ago, they won the 2020 Superbowl. It must’ve been a marvelous moment for the fans who have been waiting patiently for their next big achievement. The Kansas City Chiefs won 31-20 with a few minutes to spare. Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ quarterback, was said to be the “Super bowl MVP” as he lead the team to victory.
The halftime was one to remember, though, as it is seen by many Americans as the worst performance to have ever occurred. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed for the halftime show and critics say it was “too inappropriate for a family friendly show.” To some, the performance was horrible as they represented cultures that aren’t american. Although, these people ranked it as one of the worsts, others claim it is one of the bests as they showcased artists that are of different ethnicity.
In Summary, The Super bowl was a different experience for all. Some absolutely loved the event, others despised the outcome. It was nice to watch two teams fight it out till the end and it surprised many. Overall, the event was a joyous moment that many can’t wait until next year for it to occur again.
