SHADY XV

SHADY XV is a hip-hop collaboration album produced by Shady Records, Eminem’s record label. It was released on November 24, 2014, as a two-disc release, and as a digital download. SHADY XV, as a two-disc album, has disc one (known as Disc X) which features new songs, and then disc 2 (Disc V) which features old classics by current, and former, members of Shady Records, including 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, and Eminem. Three singles were launched to promote the album. “Guts Over Fear” by Eminem, featuring Australian singer Sia, on August 25, 2014; “Y’all Ready Know” by Slaughterhouse, on November 4, 2014; and the third single, “Detroit vs. Everybody” by Eminem, Trick-Trick, Dej Loaf, Big Sean, Royce Da 5’9″, and Danny Brown, on November 10, 2014. SHADY XV has received generally mixed reviews from music critics. Despite the criticism, SHADY XV debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, with the album selling 148,297 copies in the U.S. alone in it’s first week of release.
